Uganda: Christened “the pearl of Africa” by Sir Winston Churchill, Uganda has lived that reputation. Uganda has a myriad of tourist attractions including; mountain gorillas, several bird species, mountains like Mt. Ruwenzori, chimpanzees, scintillating savannah grasslands, a rhino sanctuary, and the river Nile which comes alive in Murchison Fall National Part.

Kenya: When it comes to safaris, Kenya is stunning. Surrounded by calderas and mountain ranges, the Great Rift Valley divides the country. Maasai Mara National Reserve is one of the world’s most magnificent game reserves shared with Tanzania. Amboseli NP provides a perfect view for big cats, such as lion and cheetah, as well as giraffe, impala, eland, waterbuck, gazelle, and more than 600 bird species. Kenya also has a host of other national parks including; Tsavo NP, Lake Nakuru NP, Nairobi NP and Mount Kenya NP.
Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha are popular for bird watching. Around Mombasa, Kenya’s second biggest city, you will enjoy sun bathing, dolphin watching and deep-sea fishing. The coastal town of Malindi provides the most spectacular beaches. Malindi of also popular for 14th century mosques and churches and Vasco De Gama Cross is one of the oldest standing monuments in Africa.
Tanzania: Kiswahili is the main spoken language in Tanzania. The county has iconic tourist attractions including; Mount Kilimanjaro the highest in Africa, the Serengeti National Park well known lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, foxes, hunting dogs and jackals.
Tanzania’s long coastline provides premier beaches and old cultural sites in Pemba and Zanzibar. Tanzania has several national parks including; Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara NP, Tarangire NP, Arusha NP, Ruaha NP, Katavi NP and Gombe Stream NP.
On the Tanzanian section of Lake Victoria, near Mwanza and Musoma are many islands, with wildlife sanctuaries. Bird watching and fishing trips are popular excursions and boat trips or hikes are popular tourist attractions.
Rwanda: Also known as the land of a Thousand Hills and a Million Smiles, Rwanda is a beauty to reckon with. A visit to the Volcanoes NP will expose you to beautiful volcanoes and golden monkeys. Lake Kivu located in the west of the country provides scenic views.
A visit to Nyungwe NP is the first step towards seeing chimpanzees, hundreds of bird species and colobus monkeys. At Akagera NP, you will encounter the lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinoceroses.
Rwanda’s rich history can be traced at Rwanda’s National Museum, located at the University of Butare. The Kigali Genocide Memorial remembers victims of the 1994 genocide that left over a million people dead.
Rwanda in general is a beautiful country, well organized with beautiful people. International hotel chains have set up in Kigali including; Serena, Marriott, Hotel Des Mille Collines and a chain of restaurants and lodges.
