Tour Summary

This safari will take you to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park well known for the Mountain Gorillas.

Day 1: Arrival and hotel transfer

Upon Arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will meet and greet with a representative of IvaMar Safaris who will transfer you to your overnight accommodation at Kampala Serena Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi National Park

After your early morning breakfast, you will be transferred you be picked by our driver guide who will then transfer you Ruhija Gorilla safari Lodge, Bwindi (FB). You will pass by the Equator for a photo opportunity and Lunch in Mbarara town.

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking

After breakfast, you will be guided to the  assembly/starting point of your gorilla tracking journey. At this point you will be briefed by Uganda Wildlife Authority and you will also meet other people who will track with you in the same group. You will be briefed on the dos and don’ts when you are meeting the gentle giants.

At this moment, you will start on your gorilla tracking journey. This activity will take a full day depending on where the gorillas are located. You will have packed lunch. You will return to the lodge in the afternoon just in time for a community walk. Dinner and overnight at Ruhija Gorilla Safari Lodge, Bwindi (FB).

Day 4: Bwindi - Kampala/Entebbe

After an early breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge to embark on your journey to Kampala, and later Entebbe International Airport for your flight. You will have lunch along the way in Mbarara.

Prices are subject to change. Availability of accommodations and activities is not guaranteed; reservations will be made after receiving confirmation of the final itinerary and the requested deposit. Should any of the included accommodations not be available, we reserve the right to substitute it with an alternative suitable accommodation, which might affect the final quoted price.

The estimated travelling hours are based on the actual hours of driving, stops for lunch or photos not included. Gorilla Permits are not guaranteed!! The permits can only be purchased once we have received your 100% payment for the Gorilla Permits. We will let you know as soon as you have decided to tour with us, if the permits are available on your day of request. Please know that the permits are very rare and booking upfront is really necessary.
